That's what the Korean brand is saying, and it's got the creds to back it up. Hyundai Motor Company N has been working with the real Drift King, Keiichi Tsuchiya, for years to develop its performance cars. Now, the DK gets a special edition of its own. Hyundai Motor Company has revealed the new Ioniq 5 N DK Edition parts package at the Tokyo Auto Salon tuner show. And best of all, Hyundai Motor Company has confirmed the special edition is going into production this year, so it's not just a hypothetical showcase. View pictures in App save up to 80% data. 2025 Hyundai Motor Company Ioniq 5 N AWD Horsepower 601 HP Torque 545 lb.-ft. 0-60 MPH 3.2 Seconds Top Speed 162 mph The DK Edition isn't a stand-alone model. Instead, it's more like a parts package add-on to the Ioniq 5 N. The parts were developed by Hyundai Motor Company N, Tsuchiya, and Japanese parts and tuning store Autobacs. Massive Brakes, Oversized Wheels, and Bold Skids for the Ioniq 5 N To kick off the enhancements, six-piston brake calipers take the place of the standard four-pot units on the N model. These calipers, along with their larger rotors and pads, provide a 54 percent increase in brake pad surface area, ensuring improved stopping power consistently. The calipers are adorned in green, which is Tsuchiya's signature hue, and feature the DK logo along with N Performance branding. View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Include CarBuzz in your Google News updates. The forged 21-inch wheels are new and help clear the new brake kit. They're massive, but they also trim more than 22 pounds of unsprung weight from the Ioniq 5 N. The inside of the wheels has knurling to help make sure the wheels don't rotate inside the tire when the driver is using the 5 N's full 641 horsepower (for short bursts, 601 hp in regular operation) and 568 lb-ft of torque. Hyundai Motor Company has also lowered the DK Edition on new springs. The H&R springs match Tsuchiya's green and lower the car by half an inch, and the damping ratios were chosen to work with the N's electronically controlled suspension. Aero Kit Adds 200+ Pounds Of Downforce To Hyundai Motor Company Ioniq 5 N This Drift King has a full aero kit, too. A new carbon front splitter adds downforce in the front, while a tall carbon spoiler on the hatch balances it with more downforce at the back. The total increase is 205 pounds, Hyundai Motor Company says, which isn't too shabby for the EV. New side skirts and a rear diffuser help finish off the look. And all of the parts, of course, get Tsuchiya's green instead of the usual Hyundai Motor Company orange-tinged red. View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Connected The Hyundai Motor Company Ioniq 5 NPX1 Concept made a splash at the Tokyo Auto Salon as a carbon-festooned statement of intent. The Drift King is Japanese racing driver Keiichi Tsuchiya. He is one of the drivers that brought drift and togue to the mainstream, and has been a consultant for Initial D and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. He was a stunt driver for the latter film and one of the two fishermen annoyed by lead character Sean's early attempts at sideways action in some scenes. Tsuchiya is more than just a drifter, though. He has two class wins at Le Mans and loads of on-track wins in a bucketful of Japanese race series. Hyundai Motor Company plans to put the DK Edition on sale in Japan and Korea by the end of this year. The company hasn't said if it plans to bring the package to America.

Auto repair shops experiencing an increase in vehicle problems this winter

View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Local auto repair shops, such as Magic City Auto and Truck Repair, have reported a rise in vehicle problems this winter season. Published: January 15, 2025, at 3:13 PM CST | Updated: just moments ago MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) - Cold weather can cause various issues, and sometimes that even affects your vehicle's performance. Local auto repair shops, such as Magic City Auto and Truck Repair, have reported a rise in vehicle problems this winter season. Owner Ken Frederick noted that they frequently encounter issues with depleted batteries during colder weather. "During winter, you worry about the lack of heat in the cabin. Your engine isn't reaching the temperature you'd prefer," Frederick remarked. Service manager Kelsey Desroches emphasized the importance of tire treads when it comes to driving in snowy conditions. Desroches explained, "When you're driving and the snow becomes compacted, lack of tread can cause your vehicle to slide uncontrollably." Desroches mentioned that they have noticed customers arriving with brake pads that require urgent attention for repairs. "Your brake pad will end up making contact with the metal rotor, which will hinder your ability to stop," explained Desroches. It's been suggested that letting your car warm up for at least ten minutes before driving can help maintain its condition during harsh winter temperatures. Alternative methods consist of utilizing an engine block heater and consulting your vehicle's manual. "Well, there's a purpose behind it; your vehicles are designed to require maintenance. It's essential for ensuring they remain in excellent condition," Frederick explained. It's always advisable to perform regular maintenance, regardless of whether your vehicle is new or used. Having a survival kit in your car during the winter months is essential. Make sure to include items like a blanket, a phone charger, snacks, and various other supplies. Magic City Auto and Truck Repair has proudly operated for eight years.

Could you repeat that, please?

Could you repeat that, please?

Have you ever found yourself needing to grab something from another room, like your keys, only to arrive and completely forget what you were after? That's a rhetorical question—we're all too familiar with that experience.  Counselor Charan Ranganath, who leads the Dynamic Memory Lab at U.C. Davis in California, states in his book, “Why We Remember: Unlocking Memory’s Power to Hold On to What Matters,” (good luck trying to remember that title) that “most of what we encounter is destined to be forgotten — and this is intentional.”  In contemporary tech terms, "the typical individual absorbs over 74 gigabytes of data daily, which is equivalent to nine DVDs."  Misplacing your lipstick or struggling to recall the name of an old friend doesn’t necessarily indicate cognitive decline; at our age, it’s simply a part of being human. Various influences, such as menopause, can contribute to these lapses. However, if you find yourself unable to identify a friend or family member, or if you become disoriented in a familiar setting, that is something to take seriously.  According to specialists, here are several suggestions you can implement in this scenario.  I've come across the concept of setting boundaries, but I wasn't aware that our memories can establish them for us at times. Ranganath refers to these as "event boundaries," and here's the explanation: When you're in one room searching for your keys and then move into another room, you've altered your usual sensory surroundings—essentially crossing a "boundary." This shift can disrupt your thought process to the point where you forget what you were initially doing. "Whenever there's a change in how you perceive your environment, your brain generates mental markers known as 'event boundaries' that segment your day into clear before-and-after phases, aiding in easier recollection later on."  Just wait until I share the concept of "event boundaries" with Ronnie. He seems to generate around 50 of them daily, especially when he's on the hunt for his reading glasses or that ballpoint pen he had just a few minutes ago.  Additionally, receiving a phone call while engaged in a retrieval task can throw you off so much that once you finish the call, you may completely forget what you were searching for.  In an effort to tackle this issue, Ranganath suggests revisiting the place where the idea to search for the item first struck you. The familiar surroundings of your initial inspiration could potentially revive your memory and guide you back to the starting point of your journey.  At times, misplacing an item such as your glasses can pose a challenge. Like many others, you may have left them in various locations, and now you're unsure of where to begin your search.  One more suggestion is to disable all notifications and put your phone away while engaging in memory-intensive tasks. Distractions can be incredibly frustrating and hinder your focus on what you're working on.  They also recommended picking up a work of fiction. It serves as an excellent mental workout, as it requires you to engage with the storyline, remember the characters, and comprehend the narrative. (This is sound advice if you have the ability to read—or the visual capacity to do so.) I really appreciate this final suggestion on remembering lists and names, which is humorously titled “Imagine a massive strawberry taking a ride on a cow.” (This is exactly why it caught my attention!) It revolves around the concept of “mnemonics,” a memory aid that encourages you to develop bizarre visual representations in your mind. This technique is effective because it transforms ordinary information into captivating images. For instance, if you need to stop by a store on your way home to grab strawberries, milk, and broccoli, just picture a colossal strawberry riding a cow through a garden filled with enormous broccoli trees.  Enjoy that one, everyone. As for me, I'm hesitant to bring it up with Ronnie because I suspect it might hit too close to home for his usual way of thinking.  Wishing you an amazing week ahead! Remember to keep smiling along the way.

Here’s a Complete List of Every Air Jordan 4 Set to Release in 2025

View pictures in App save up to 80% data. The Air Jordan 4 "White Cement" (on the left) and Nigel Sylvester's Air Jordan 4 "Bike Air" are among the most anticipated releases of 2025 for this iconic sneaker model. 2024 was the year of the Air Jordan 4. That’s according to trend reports from both JD Sports, which used data from StockX as part of its calculations, and GOAT Group, parent company of the resale platform of the same name, as well as Stadium Goods. According to the latter, the top five most in-demand sneakers of the year were all Air Jordan 4s, led by the return of the original “Military Blue” colorway, now called “Industrial Blue” officially, as well as the “Bred Reimagined.” With the banner year coming on its 35th anniversary, the Air Jordan 4 shows no signs of slowing down in 2025. Another of the four original colorways will return with the “White Cement” edition, which is already a lock for one of the biggest shoe releases of the year. And while that may be the only OG making its return, there will also be several high-profile drops in the form of a Nigel Sylvester collaboration, which follows him being chosen to debut the reconfigured Air Jordan 4 RM, and a new colorway for the hit Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 from 2023. Footwear News presents an overview of all the Air Jordan 4 launches scheduled for 2025. While leaks are constantly evolving, the releases listed here are the most reliable ones reported for the year. I purchased a basic phone for my grandmother, but I ended up using it instead.

I purchased a basic phone for my grandmother, but I ended up using it instead.

View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Tushar Mehta / Digital Trends Media My grandma is 87 years old, and it goes without saying that she has a hard time around technology. So, when the battery inside her 10-year-old Nokia 110 breathed its last breath recently, I, as the IT guy of the family, decided to get her yet another feature phone instead of a smartphone. Except this time, I decided to go with slightly more advanced features than the last one. After weighing a few options, I chose a feature phone from a lesser-known brand, but one with promising specs, a guarantee of a secure build, and, above all, Wi-Fi. When the phone finally arrived, I was incredibly impressed by features that went beyond what I had initially noted. I couldn't resist keeping it for myself, making my Nan wait for the second one to come. The device in question is the Blackview N1000, and there are numerous reasons why you, likely not an elderly person, might find this unique phone as fascinating as I did. I'm not hesitant to handle it with just one hand. View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Tushar Mehta / Digital Trends Media Smartphones are essential to my daily life, yet I often find myself overwhelmed by their ever-growing dimensions. Manufacturers are constantly adding new features, which inevitably leads to bulkier devices. Consequently, using a simple, lightweight feature phone can feel like a breath of fresh air. The Blackview phone has a very utile texture on the edges, accented by a combination of plain and ridged design and, therefore, adds to a good grip. The design immediately reminded me of one of the coolest phones from the early 2000s, the Nokia 3220, a miniature night club of a phone armored in four sets of colorful LEDs on the sides. Sadly, the Blackview feature phone doesn’t have the LED, though it offers similarly assuring ergonomics. View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Tushar Mehta / Digital Trends Media I can effortlessly grip the phone with my fingers and access all the buttons, including those on either side, without needing to use my other hand. The design appears to be quite well-balanced in terms of weight distribution, which reassures me that the phone won't slip out of my grasp while I'm typing. While you might have inferred this from the design itself, I will outline below the reasons—beyond its cost—why I feel a sense of confidence with this phone, allowing me to remain unfazed even when I accidentally drop it. In an exciting development, the device features a removable battery located at the back, secured by four screws on the cover. To make things even easier, the manufacturer includes a small screwdriver in the packaging, allowing users to easily access the battery, as well as the dual SIM and memory card slots located within the phone. It's unexpectedly sturdy. View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Tushar Mehta / Digital Trends Media Feature phones have a reputation for being indestructible. While that’s an exaggeration, they are unquestionably more durable than smartphones. Blackview is a brand that also makes rugged Android devices in all shapes and sizes — including large rugged Android tablets. So, it isn’t truly surprising that it even gave the N1000 a rugged armor. What is a bit astounding, though, is the fact that this phone is rated for dust and water resistance. The feature phone boasts an IP69 rating, ensuring its durability even when briefly immersed in water or exposed to high-pressure, high-temperature water streams. Additionally, all physical ports, such as the USB-C port located at the bottom and the headphone jack, are securely sealed. In the meantime, the purported MIL-STD-810H certification guarantees its durability against impacts and heavy vibrations. To put it plainly, you can accidentally drop it from several stories high and still anticipate it to function properly. While it may not match the legendary toughness of the Nokia 3310, it's certainly impressive for a device priced under $100. T9 typing evokes a strong sense of nostalgia. View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Tushar Mehta / Digital Trends Media I belong to the group of individuals who have a strong preference for physical keyboards that offer significant tactile feedback. This passion likely arises from the fact that I didn't grow up tapping away on fragile touchscreens. Consequently, the idea of using actual buttons for typing on mobile devices genuinely excites me. T9 adds to that thrill since it operates at a speed that rivals, or even surpasses, the pace of typing on a touchscreen keyboard. For individuals unfamiliar with a T9 keyboard on a basic mobile phone, it functions as a predictive text system. Instead of repeatedly pressing a number key to select a specific letter, you simply press the key corresponding to all the letters it represents. By combining these key presses, the device (or any input system) offers word suggestions based on various combinations. Below, you can see the typing process for the word "digital" using a standard keypad compared to a T9 keyboard: Keypad T9 Keypad 3-4-4-4-(wait)-4-(wait)-4-4-4-8-2-5-5-5 3-4-4-4-8-2-5 See how it’s easier and quicker? About 20 years ago, being able to type with T9 would automatically elevate you to the level of “the cool kid.” And, while I am out of touch with what makes you cool among your tween peers these days, I truly enjoy reliving that nostalgia. I even type nonsensical sentences (it’s nearly impossible to type gibberish words with T9) to keep my dopamine junky of a brain kicking. Despite its low price point, the keys provide a satisfying tactile feel and a comfortable touch, in contrast to other budget feature phones that often have keys that are either too stiff and noisy or too soft to respond well. The keypad sits mostly flush with the phone's body, with only the direction pad being slightly elevated. This seamless design eliminates any friction when sliding your thumb across to reach the other keys while typing. The large flashlight adds a practical element. View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Tushar Mehta / Digital Trends Media Many feature phones available today are equipped with flashlights. This is largely due to the growing trend of digital detox, as there are few compelling features left to entice smartphone users to upgrade. Often, these phones include flashlights even in the absence of a camera, making their primary function simply to light up dark areas. While it's true that flashlights are beneficial in navigating the physical world, they are seldom effective for photography unless they are designed with that purpose in mind. Blackview enhances the functionality of the flashlight by incorporating a large unit designed primarily for its basic purpose rather than photography. Although the brand does not provide specific specifications or brightness levels, it is noticeably brighter than the typical smartphone flashlight when observed. The substantial lens covering the small LED bulb is a testament to its power. In addition to enhancing the flashlight feature, Blackview has introduced a specific button on the side of the phone that can be pressed and held to activate it. This button simplifies the process of turning on the light; however, you need to unlock the device and navigate to the home screen to access this control. Nonetheless, if you find a way to bypass this limitation, the flashlight proves to be a reliable asset. A new year brings fresh strategies to tackle my Reels obsession. View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Digital Trends / Tushar Mehta Like most millennials, I doomscroll short-form videos for short-lived escapades from the harsh realities of adult life. Over time, my brain has been programmed to reach apps like Instagram even when I pick up my phone with an entirely different intent. I have experimented with different ways of dealing with it; some have proved useful, and some have not. Finally, deleting the apps does me some good for a few days until I either rebound to another equally engrossing app or go back to the one I hoped to dump. Not having a phone that supports Instagram has turned out to be a blessing for me. Rather than uninstalling the app, I've opted for a total escape from the distractions of a smartphone, choosing to play around with the N1000 instead. This way, I can give my cluttered mind a chance to reset and create healthier neural connections without the hassle of dealing with social media. View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Tushar Mehta / Digital Trends Media The Blackview phone runs KaiOS, a recently defunded but still functional operating system specially designed for slightly smart feature phones. That means there are some apps, such as YouTube, available. While WhatsApp was also available previously, Meta recently pulled the plug due to the OS’ low popularity compared to Android. That said, there are certain third-party clients to run X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit alongside a bunch of games inspired by retro classics. There's a specific app designed for shorts, which might seem like a potential trigger for a relapse. However, the scrolling experience is frustratingly slow and awkward due to the non-touch interface and the small square screen. As a result, you might find it more appealing to forgo watching shorts altogether rather than succumb to the addiction. It comes equipped with both LTE and Wi-Fi capabilities. View pictures in App save up to 80% data. LTE speed test conducted on the Blackview N1000. One of the reasons I have hesitated to switch to a feature phone is the absence of fast internet access. Although I make an effort to be mindful of my technology usage — even if I don't always achieve that goal — it's something I prioritize. Nonetheless, having high-speed internet is essential for maintaining my peace of mind. I believe that having fast internet is essential for maintaining good technological practices. Just like you can't achieve good health by merely reducing your food intake; you also need to focus on clean eating. In the same way, while fast internet can lead to distractions like doomscrolling, it is crucial for satisfying our genuine thirst for knowledge. By providing LTE access (specifically, LTE Advanced, the latest iteration of the technology) along with dual-band Wi-Fi, Blackview enables you to explore the vastness of the internet without limitations. Additionally, the Wi-Fi feature allows you to utilize the phone even without an active SIM card, which is perfect if you — similar to me — plan to use it as a detox device rather than your primary phone. The charging dock is incredibly satisfying. View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Tushar Mehta / Digital Trends Media To ensure that the Blackview feature phone is protected from water, dust, sand, and other corrosive elements, all access points, including the USB-C port located at the bottom, are equipped with removable flaps. This design effectively safeguards the internal components; however, removing the flap and positioning it just right to insert the USB connector can be somewhat cumbersome. This may pose a particular challenge for the intended user demographic of seniors, who might find it especially tricky. Fast charging is absent, and with a maximum output of just 10W, it may evoke frustrating memories of the days when feature phones reigned supreme. However, the 3,300mAh battery is indeed bigger than what you'd find in those older devices. Consequently, charging it fully can take several hours, and keeping the device plugged in—unless you're intentionally trying to take a break from it—can become quite tedious. These challenges are usually not a concern as Blackview has introduced a more convenient way to charge the device. Included in the package is a charging cradle, reminiscent of cordless landline phones. You can effortlessly place the phone in the cradle when it's not in use, allowing it to charge during that time. An alternative to "smart" phones View pictures in App save up to 80% data. Tushar Mehta / Digital Trends Media There has been a surge in technologies that pull us away from the overwhelming and uninterrupted flow of nudges our phones bless us with. While I’m not against being enamored by your phone (I feel that is inescapable in this age), not having your phone constantly buzz is a privilege that the Blackview blessed me with. Another reason I find the feature phone useful is that it lets me break away from the deluge of online trackers always at work to serve me with personalized ads and reinforce my bubble, surrounding me with the theoretical dead internet. In the AI age, the tracking and analysis of your persona is only rising, and the opportunity (and the responsibility) to defend ourselves — or at least take a break — lies with us. Even if you don’t believe — or prefer not to drown yourself in — the grim contentions, $90 (at the Blackview official store) on a detox phone can prove to be a worthwhile investment.

Consensus Guidelines for Histological and Clinical Reporting in HS

View pictures in App save up to 80% data. The following is a summary of “Standardized Protocols for Clinical and Histopathological Characterization of Hidradenitis Suppurativa Tissue Specimens,” published in the January 2025 issue of Dermatology by Sampath et al.  The absence of standardized protocols for the description and reporting of clinical and histological features of skin tissue samples from patients with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) impedes consistent data collection, documentation, and communication. This is essential for advancing translational research, even in light of a recent agreement on the morphology of HS lesions.   A team of researchers carried out a retrospective analysis aimed at developing a standardized protocol for documenting the histopathological and clinical features of HS tissue samples.   A study was conducted between May 2023 and August 2023, involving specialists in clinical care, dermatopathology, and translational research. In total, 27 experts took part, comprising 14 dermatologists, 3 fellowship-trained dermatopathologists, 3 plastic surgeons, 3 general surgeons, and 4 research scientists. The researchers employed a modified Delphi technique to create a protocol aimed at histologic reporting and clinical characterization of tissue samples from patients diagnosed with HS.    The findings indicated that a total of 27 specialists were involved in the creation and assessment of protocols for the clinical and histopathological analysis of HS tissue samples. This cohort comprised 14 dermatologists (51.9%), 3 dermatopathologists with fellowship training (11.1%), 3 plastic surgeons (11.1%), 3 general surgeons (11.1%), and 4 research scientists (14.8%).   Researchers determined that the structured protocols, delivered in the form of a summary report, would promote uniform classification of HS specimens in biobanks according to their histological characteristics. This would lead to improved accuracy in reporting and the selection of samples for translational research initiatives.  You have been educated on information available until October 2023.
