Walmart unveiled a "comprehensive brand refresh" Monday that the company says reflects its "evolution as a people-led, tech-powered omnichannel retailer."
As stated in a recent press announcement, the revamped branding aims to "more accurately reflect Walmart's current identity." The organization highlighted that notable elements of the brand overhaul consist of a wordmark influenced by Sam Walton's iconic trucker hat, crafted using a "contemporary, bespoke font that sets Walmart apart from its competitors."
Furthermore, the spark "radiates the essence of Walmart," and the color scheme "draws from the retailer's most iconic shades and its legacy of blue, while introducing fresh updates to maintain the brand's vitality," according to the company.
Walmart announced that it will start implementing its updated branding across multiple platforms and customer interactions, such as its website, mobile app, and physical stores, starting in January 2025. The company revealed that the rollout began in October 2024, with additional stores set to undergo renovations gradually.
