Players of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have unearthed hidden content — or at least elements that appeared to have gone unnoticed — after dedicating countless hours to the game, a decade after its initial launch. With The Witcher 4 still on the horizon, enthusiasts of the RPG franchise persist in enjoying the earlier titles, even as they age. For instance, The Witcher 3 celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and remains remarkably relevant a decade later. This is hardly unexpected, given its status as one of the finest games ever created.

One of the key reasons RPG enthusiasts keep coming back is the expansive open world, rich with intricate details and captivating narratives. This game is overflowing with content, leading to the inevitable result that even players who have invested hundreds of hours may overlook certain aspects.

In a recent discussion on The Witcher 3 Reddit page, one player shared an intriguing discovery they made in the game after spending countless hours immersed in the RPG. The responses to this post indicated that many other users on the subreddit were equally unaware of this particular aspect of the game. Given that even the most dedicated fans, who have invested hundreds of hours and completed multiple playthroughs, were surprised by this element from the Blood and Wine expansion, it's reasonable to conclude that most casual players are likely in the dark about it as well.

If you were unaware that the Duchess in Beauclair — featured in the Blood and Wine expansion — owned a pet leopard, you're not the only one. Many of us were in the dark about this detail.

“WHAT? I’m on my countless playthroughs and have yet to encounter that,” states one of the earlier comments. “I really appreciate this game for its depth. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve played, and I still discover new NPCs or subtle details that I hadn’t noticed before,” shares another user.

A third commenter chimed in, saying, “I was completely unaware as well. I explored the entire palace grounds several times.”

For what it's worth, I've fully completed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt twice, investing almost 300 hours into the game, and I had never encountered this leopard until now. This raises an interesting question: what other subtle details or hidden content might be slipping past players unnoticed?
