Will Kornegay, CEO of Ripe Revival, is pictured with the small business of the year award from the 2023 Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce. Meanwhile, the Nashville Town Council has postponed a rezoning request submitted by Kornegay for 55 acres of land, which Ripe Revival aims to develop for purposes beyond food processing, including agritourism, entertainment, and residential projects.

During a public hearing on Tuesday evening regarding the rezoning of 55 acres of land acquired from the town of Nashville by Will Kornegay and Ripe Revival, local residents voiced their objections to the proposal. As a result, the council decided to postpone the hearing to a future date.

Due to worries about whether nearby property owners were properly informed about the public hearing, the council decided to postpone the discussion.
