Last week, the Greater Greater Orange Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual meeting and banquet to recognize and celebrate the efforts of its members dedicated to positively impacting the Orange community.
The gathering took place at the Orange County Convention and Expo Center, featuring opportunities for socializing, a dinner, and an awards ceremony. This banquet also marked the introduction of Stacey Brister as the new chairman of the board of directors.
"As we welcome the year 2025, we have a special chance to evaluate our objectives, celebrate our achievements, learn from previous experiences, establish new aspirations, and reaffirm our dedication to strengthening Orange collectively," remarked Brister. "The Greater Orange Chamber of Commerce is firmly committed to its mission: to unite businesses, foster growth, and enhance our community."
The newly appointed board of directors for 2025 will consist of the following members:
Stacey Brister – Chair of the Board
Shaun McAlpin – Chairman Designate
Zach Johnson - Vice Chairman of Government Relations
Wade Smith – Vice Chairman of Special Initiatives
Ashla Taylor – Vice Chair of Membership Services
Wendy Elmore – Vice Chair of Education
Megan Layne – Vice Chair of Economic Development
Joe Love – Vice Chair and Treasurer
Jessica Hill – Former Chairman
The special awards presented featured Ashla Taylor receiving the Chamber Ambassador of the Year title, Colton Baker from First Financial Bank Texas honored with the Next Generation Orange County Spotlight Award, Be Blessed Orange County recognized for the Nonprofit Community Service Award, Mathew Jewelers Orange awarded the Business Community Service Award, Megan Layne, Executive Director of the Orange County Economic Development Corporation, named Board Chairperson of the Year, and Clyde V. McKee III celebrated as the Citizen of the Year.
